Colleen Hickey, Director of Human Resources, Labour Relations and Change Management
Colleen Hickey joined PVI and the Motherhouse as Director of Human Resources, Labour Relations and Change Management on January 16, 2023.
She is responsible for effective employee and labour relations services for the Motherhouse and PVI, leading staff recruitment, onboarding and orientation, collective bargaining, issue management, staff development and change leadership.
Colleen has 25 years of progressively responsible experience leading human resources within municipal government, including long-term care, as well as in home care and manufacturing. She has a proven record in labour relations, change management and leadership development.
Doreen Hoekstra, Executive Assistant
Jim Kennedy, Business & Accounting
Jim Kennedy is providing business, financial and accounting consulting services to PVI. Jim is a Chartered Professional Accountant and was a senior executive in the Kingston area healthcare, with more than 35 years’ experience at Kingston General Hospital, Hotel Dieu Hospital, and eventually retiring as the Chief Financial Officer at Providence Care. Jim’s experience is in the financial and administrative areas of hospital, long-term care and community-based care. Jim also serves in a volunteer role as the Treasurer on the Board of the Museum of Health Care.
Steacy Oliver, Director of Facilities Management and Strategic Projects
As Director of Facilities Management and Strategic Projects, Steacy’s role is to ensure PVI and Motherhouse facilities and services serve the needs of the Sisters, staff, and future tenants well into the future. Steacy worked as a Planning Consultant contracted to support work at PVI and the Motherhouse from January 2022 – December 2022 when she was hired into this newly-created position.
Steacy is a Professional Engineer and Project Management Professional with 25 years’ experience.
Julie White, Communications
Communications for PVI and Motherhouse operations is being provided by consultant Julie White. Julie was a professional health care communications practitioner for more than 15 years, leading a variety of strategic communication roles and activities within hospitals, community health care providers and government. In 2017, Julie began teaching full-time at St. Lawrence College and has served as the coordinator for the Health Care Administration post-graduate program. Prior to entering the world of health care, Julie spent 10 years as an award-winning community-based journalist.
