Laurie French, President & CEO
Laurie French joined Providence Village as President and Chief Executive Officer in 2022.
Laurie is an accomplished leader who brings more than 25 years’ experience in regional health system delivery, partnership and innovation. A registered nurse by profession, Laurie also has a Certificate in Advanced Health Leadership from the Rotman School of Executive Management, and a master’s degree in Public Administration from Queen’s University. She brings a unique mix of senior leadership in the health, community and education sectors and well-established roots in community governance to her role.
Laurie is focused on community leadership and engagement. In her previous role as Regional Director of Transitional Care with Providence Care, she played a key role in the development and delivery of the new Providence Transitional Care Centre which is aimed at providing vulnerable citizens in our region with the supports they need to strengthen and avoid acute care hospitalization. As Director of Home and Community Care with the former South East Local Health Integration Network, French provided operational leadership of home care services regionally and led provincial initiatives focused on quality improvement.
Steacy Oliver, Director of Facilities Management and Strategic Projects
As Director of Facilities Management and Strategic Projects, Steacy’s role is to ensure PVI and Motherhouse facilities and services serve the needs of the Sisters, staff, and future tenants well into the future. Steacy worked as a Planning Consultant contracted to support work at PVI and the Motherhouse from January 2022 – December 2022 when she was hired into this newly-created position. Steacy is a Professional Engineer and Project Management Professional with 25 years’ experience.
Marie-Jo Cleghorn, Director of Care
Marie-Jo Cleghorn is a dedicated and experienced health-care professional with a rich educational background and diverse career. She graduated from Queen’s University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. In 2005, she attained her Masters of Health Science degree in New Zealand, focused on adult learning principles and how nurses learn. Marie-Jo has worked in community, acute, and sub-acute care, serving as a bedside nurse, educator, and manager. Her passion lies in people, team building, and empowering others. She believes that caring for the vulnerable is a privilege and continually seeks opportunities to foster, support, and mentor the next generation of health-care providers. Throughout her career, she has been profoundly impacted by the patients and families she has cared for and the wonderful colleagues she has worked with. Marie-Jo is excited to be part of Providence Village and looks forward to getting to know the community.
Kasandra Martyn, Human Resources Manager
Kasandra Martyn, PCP RPR, joined Providence Village as Human Resources Manager in August 2025. In this role, Kasandra is part of the leadership team and will oversee a range of human resources functions, including employee and labour relations, recruitment, health and safety, organizational development, and workforce planning.
Kasandra brings more than 15 years of progressive human resources experience, including eight years in senior leadership roles. Her expertise spans employee and labour relations, workforce planning, organizational development, and cultivating inclusive workplace cultures. She has held leadership positions across higher education, manufacturing, and multi-entity corporate environments in Canada and the United States.
Collaboration and integrity are central to Kasandra’s HR practice. She is committed to fostering strong partnerships, open communication, and a culture of trust—principles that will guide her work as she helps shape HR strategies and programs that support the Village’s continued growth and impact.
Cory Angeletti-Szasz, Communications Consultant
Cory Angeletti-Szasz joined Providence Village as a Communications Consultant in 2023, bringing over a decade of expertise in integrated marketing communications. In her role, she leads the development and implementation of comprehensive communication and engagement strategies that align with the Village’s strategic priorities. Her responsibilities span brand positioning and identity management, partner engagement and development, and the oversight of all internal and external communications initiatives. Cory is commited to inclusive and authentic communications, ensuring that every message resonates and supports the growth and impact of Providence Village.
