A long-time Kingston resident and leader, Jim spent 37 years in senior executive roles across Hotel Dieu Hospital, Kingston General Hospital, and Providence Care. His expertise in financial and administrative functions spanned progressive roles, culminating in his role as Chief Financial Officer of Providence Care until his retirement in 2020.

However, Jim’s contributions didn’t end with his retirement from Providence Care. He continued to provide support to the Sisters of Providence of St. Vincent de Paul as they advanced their vision for the creation of Providence Village. As a financial consultant for Providence Village for the last three years, Jim hepled establish the operational and financial processes for the Village, laying the groundwork that the Sisters’ legacy of care and compassion would thrive for years to come.

“Jim contributed a key role in helping us bring the Providence Village vision to life,” said Laurie French, CEO, Providence Village. “His understanding of the Sisters’ mission, commitment to their vision for the Village, and his financial leadership have shaped our path forward.”

She continued, “Jim’s commitment to our community and his work to build strong accounting and operational systems have positioned Providence Village for success. On behalf of everyone at Providence Village, I want to thank Jim for his contributions and wish him health and happiness in his retirement. We know his grandchildren will be happy to have even more of his time!”

We are grateful for Jim’s contributions to the Village and wish him all the best as he embarks on this next chapter of his life. Thank you, Jim, for your decades of commitment to this community.
