Aerial view of Providence Village in Kingston, Ontario, during autumn. In the foreground, the historic Providence Motherhouse—a large limestone building shaped like a squared-off “U” or horseshoe—sits surrounded by trees with vibrant fall colours. The Motherhouse features grey stone walls, multiple wings, and a central chapel with a peaked roof. Behind it, new construction is underway on future care facilities, and residential neighbourhoods and urban developments extend toward the shoreline of Lake Ontario in the distance.
