Providence Village announces Alzheimer’s Kingston as the next tenant in the Motherhouse

In collaboration with community partners, Providence Village continues to work towards fulfilling the vision of the Sisters of Providence of St. Vincent de Paul to create a central hub of service organizations that provide care and support in the community. This includes capital project construction on the grounds of the Village and seeking tenants to operate in the Motherhouse itself.

Providence Village is proud to announce that Alzheimer’s Kingston will officially occupy and begin preparations in their space on May 1st, 2023 with plans to offer their services from the Motherhouse in the coming months.

“We are pleased to welcome Alzheimer’s Society Kingston to the Village”, says President & CEO Laurie French: “This is an important step forward for us to work through the process to have organizations like this join us who will provide services to the vulnerable in our community as we work to fulfill the Sisters’ vision”.

Vicki Poffley, Executive Director of Alzheimer’s Kingston notes “The Village and the Motherhouse property provides an excellent location for the client-centred services we offer to families”.

A number of improvements to the space are underway including enhancements to accessibility features that will benefit other tenants as we go forward. Tours and enquiries are generating interest in the available space that will suit a variety of programs and clients.
